Residential Conduit Drops Continue, Business Planning Begins

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

July 28, 2021

Sertex crews are continuing to meet with residential property owners to plan each underground path for fiber cabling. Once paths are approved by property owners and residential sites are authorized for construction by environmental and local authorities, Sertex crews are digging paths from poles to premises and installing conduit tubing.

In the next phase of the buildout, Sertex is setting up meetings with owners of business properties to plan the fiber networks that will support businesses and business tenants. Over the coming months, Sertex will be reaching out to individual business property owners to set up appointments and survey their locations.

Sertex appreciates the support of Block Island.

To celebrate the progress to date in building the BI fiber network and to say thank you to Island residents and visitors for your patience and support, Sertex is sponsoring the August 11th Blues on the Block concert. The concert is family friendly, for all ages, and held at the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion on Corn Neck Road from 5 to 8 p.m. Hope to see you there!

If you have any broadband-related questions or concerns, check the broadbandbi.com website or send an email to Sertex customer service.
